What We Do

Our ministries

Our ministries is involved in numerous projects.

Community empowerment center has launched a number of ministries to help target the specific needs within our community. We believe that each act of kindness produces a ripple effect that is immeasurable in the lives of those who are impacted by these ministries.

Habitat for Humanities – “Handy Men”

The Men Department combined community Service and fellowship to lend a helping hand.

Annual Stew Pot – “Cheer Up”

This Youth Department initiative promotes community service.  The Youth serve and engage in conversation with patrons visiting the local mission (Stew Pot).

Veterans Home Adoption “Thank You For Your Service”

The ministries of the Church combine their efforts to celebrate the local Veterans for a Veterans Day celebration.  A home cooked meal is prepared and served to the resident of the State Street Apartment.

Winter Coat and Clothing Giveaway – “My Brother’s Helper”

This ministry supports the Stew Pot Ministry annually by collecting and providing new and gently worn coats to the Ministry.  Socks, hats, gloves and underwear are also given to Stewpot for distribution to those in need.
